Agfa inks two Impax contracts in the United Kingdom

Agfa Healthcare has been awarded two contracts for its Impax for Cardiology technology at NHS Trust hospitals in the United Kingdom.

Impax for Cardiology linked to the existing radiology PACS will provide the hospitals with connectivity and integration to improve the delivery of clinical care from cardio workstations.

The University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust comprise three hospitals based in Leicester -- Glenfield Hospital, Leicester General Hospital and Leicester Royal Infirmary.

The main site for cardiology is Glenfield Hospital. The North Lincolnshire and Goole Hospitals NHS Trust operates all NHS hospitals in Scunthorpe, Grimsby and Goole.

Agfa said Impax for Cardiology will be operational enterprise-wide by the third quarter.
