HealthHelp's digitized MIC now PDA enabled
HealthHelp has released an electronic version of its Medical Imaging Consultant (MIC) radiology reference text that can be used on personal digital assistants (PDAs).
The e-version of the text authored by HealthHelp's CEO William Orrison, MD, contains the same information for referring physicians as its printed predecessor.
The electronic MIC contains 350 common conditions for which medical imaging procedures are ordered and details the risks, benefits, and costs involved in more than 245 imaging procedures.
In addition, the text provides information about alternative procedures based upon a patient's symptoms and makes clear distinctions between adult and pediatric care. The text also includes CPT codes and information about Medicare reimbursement.
