Fluke Biomedical enhances ASM

Fluke Biomedical Radiation Management Services (formerly Cardinal Health Inc.) introduced the Victoreen Advanced Survey Meter ASM 990 Series Wipe Test Fixture, which enables the ASM 990 to detect removable radioactive contamination.

The ASM 990 Series Wipe Test Fixture accurately measures Tc-99m. According to Fluke, the ASM 990 Series Wipe Test Fixture can count Tc-99m within 30 seconds per sample by using a high efficiency scintillation probe in conjunction with a lead-shielded sample holder. A removable wipe test holder or tray is positioned below the shielded probe minimizing background radiation and maximizing wipe test counting.

The ASM 990 Series Wipe Test Fixture also has the ability to be calibrated to various other isotopes, expanding its role as a wipe test counter.
