NEC-Mitsubishi rolls out new high-end monitor

NEC-Mitsubishi Electronics Display of America Inc. has introduced a high-end 21.3-inch UXGA LED backlit LCD monitor.

The monitor integrates NEC's Super Advanced Super Fine TFT (SA-SFT) panel technology with LED backlight technology from Lumileds Lighting, the manufacturer of Luxeon LEDs designed for integration into LCD displays and other general lighting products. The new LED backlight utilizes Luxeon DCC - an RGB light source - that generates white light with an enhanced s color spectrum and allows for tuning of the white point.

The company launched the monitor at the Society of Information Display's international exhibit last week in Seattle.
