MedPACS announces updates to its Vista PACS
MedPACS Displays Inc. this week launched updates to its Vista Intranet and Internet-enabled PACS (picture archiving and communications system).
The new version provides the ability to push studies to Vista users. After a user has logged-in, any images sent to them are automatically routed to their location.
In addition, MedPACS says a priority interrupt feature temporarily stops the pushed studies from being received for new studies requested by the user. After the pulled studies are received, the system completes transferring the studies that were pushed.
In order to provide a fast way to access all of studies of a patient currently being viewed without having to sort and search the archive database, the new PACS version will also list studies contained in the archive associated with the patient.
