Mercer takes helm at R2

CAD developer R2 Technology Inc. this week appointed William J. Mercer as interim president and CEO, succeeding Michael Klein who resigned late last week. The company is currently searching for a permanent president and CEO.

Mercer has been a member of R2's board of directors for the past three years, and brings more than 17 years in medical imaging. He is the former president and CEO of ALARIS Medical Inc. before starting Avocet Ventures in 2000. Mercer has also worked for Becton Dickinson, Abbott Laboratories and Mallinckrodt.
