FDA approves RealTimeImage's orthopedic digital workflow system
RealTimeImage Inc. has been granted U.S. Food and Drug Administration 510k approval to market its iPACS OrthoPlanner for the orthopedic market in the United States.
The iPACS OrthoPlanner is a scalable Web-based orthopedic digital workflow system that turns a standard network-connected PC into a full-featured, specialized workstation with optional archiving. The system is designed for advanced orthopedic image review and analysis as well as preoperative digital surgical planning, utilizing digital template overlays.
Key OrthoPlanner features include a web-based orthopedic viewer, pre-operative planning tools for total-joint replacement; multi-vendor template overlay support, enhanced measurement and navigation tools, as well as advanced reporting capabilities.
