NovaRad wins Southwest Iowa install
Clarinda Regional Health Center (CRHC) in Southwest Iowa has revamped its imaging services and deployed NovaRad Corp.'s NovaPACS.
Suiting the provider economically, the system also will augment CRHC's remote-reading capabilities.
NovaPACS will help the facility mitigate its current shortage of radiologists. Since the hospital contracted with an outside radiology group to perform third-party reads, radiologists are onsite at CRHC two days a week. When a radiologist is not onsite, CRHC will use NovaPACS to send images to one of the group's eight radiologists to read remotely.
CRHC provides outpatient services primarily to about 12,500 residents of Southwest Iowa. CRHC's radiology department provides general x-ray, fluoroscopy, CT, general and cardiovascular ultrasound, mammography, mobile MRI, mobile bone density, and mobile nuclear medicine.
