PocketHealth launches network-free image sharing and storage platform
Software supplier PocketHealth has launched a platform that lets patients and providers securely request, share and store medical images without the use of CD-ROMS or networks.
"Image sharing should be universal, and Record Retrieval accommodates every means for the provider to request patient imaging priors in a simple and effective way, without network and workflow limitations," co-founder and CEO Rishi Nayyar said in the Nov. 10 announcement.
Record Retrieval enables organizations to fulfill requests for prior imaging through a secure web link, eliminating the need for CDs and manual importations. Requests can be submitted to multiple outside organizations in one fell swoop and once received, the records are auto imported directly into PACS, where they can be stored permanently.
"Involving the patient and keeping them informed in their healthcare journey is integral to PocketHealth as we build out our no-network solution that securely opens up provider and patient access to medical imaging,” added Nayyar, who is set to speak about the Record Retrieval platform at RSNA on Nov. 29.
