Sonotech unveils single dose gel packets for ultrasound

Sonotech Inc. has introduced Clear Image Singles, single dose ultrasound scanning gel packets designed specifically to eliminate cross contamination from refilled gel bottles.

Ultrasound gel bottles are exposed to hospital environmental air, patient skin and body fluids that can contaminate the gel and possibly lead to patient cross-contamination. Sonotech's single gel packs are alternatives to refilling partially emptied gel bottles that result in mixing clean gel with gel that has been exposed to pathogens.
