RSNA announces registration for IHE workshop
The Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) this week announced that participants can register for "Deploying IHE in the Real World," an educational and technical workshop, being held from Sept. 13 - 15, in Oak Brook, Ill.
The workshop begins a cycle of Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) initiative activities leading to the Connectathon in January 2005 and major demonstration events at the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) and the American College of Cardiology (ACC) 2005 annual meetings in February and March, respectively.
For users of information and imaging systems, RSNA said the workshop offers detailed advice on integrating systems to increase efficiency, reduce costs and improve the quality of care. For vendors, it offers an opportunity to align product development strategies with an industry-wide framework for implementing standards-based interoperability solutions.
