AMICAS Inc. this week announced that San Diego Imaging (SDI) will install the AMICAS' Vision Series RIS and Vision Series Document Management at the group’s new imaging center. The systems will work in conjunction with the Vision Series PACS currently used at Children's Hospital of San Diego where the SDI radiologists practice.

SDI, the third largest radiology group in California, is comprised of 33 radiologists and has provided diagnostic and interventional medical imaging services to San Diego for 35 years. SDI staffs five hospitals and four outpatient imaging centers, and is part of Children's Hospital and Health Center.


Elizabeth Jekot, MD Breast Imaging Center in Richardson, Texas, has installed the Aurora 1.5T Dedicated Breast MRI System with Bilateral UltraRODEO (Rotating Delivery of Excitation Off-Resonance) from Aurora Imaging Technology.


Mazor Surgical Technologies, manufacturer and developer of the SpineAssist miniature robotic spinal surgery device, has introduced its technology for use in the U.S. market.

Four U.S. hospitals are now using SpineAssist for medical image-driven robotic guidance for minimally invasive insertion of implants in a patient’s lumbar spine. The hospitals include the Hospital of Special Surgery in N.Y., Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio, Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Va., and USMD Hospital in Arlington, Texas.  


VHA Inc., a national alliance of not-for-profit healthcare providers, has inked a deal with Practice Partners to provide VHA members with access to electronic health record and practice management software.


Community General Hospital (CGH) in New York announced today that they have selected Seneca Data’s Nexlink brand of computer products and services to support an electronic medical records project that launched its phase two plan in February of this year.  The hospital’s mission is to advance high quality, safe, compassionate, and cost effective healthcare for the Central New York community.
