FiatLux Imaging previews software on Motion C5 tablet PC
FiatLux Imaging featured its advanced medical imaging software, FiatLux Visualize, previewed on Motion Computing’s C5 tablet PC, during the 2008 Society of Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) meeting in Seattle.
The company said it is developing next-generation medical imaging software, including 3D advanced visualization and analysis for MRI, CT and digital radiography. The FiatLux Visualize software is targeted to run on everything from a medical provider’s mobile PC to a radiologist’s workstation, with PDA and cell phone medical viewers currently in development.
“Our goal is to provide powerful, intuitive, and affordable advanced medical imaging that's accessible anywhere. Our ability to run on very portable devices like the C5 in addition to the standard desktop/laptop further advances that capability,” said Brynn Karch, MD, CMO, FiatLux.
FiatLux Visualize, currently under development, is scheduled for release in the summer of 2008. Visualize features under development include 2D, 3D, 4D; MIP; volume rendering; real-time fly-throughs; measurement segmentation, and visualization tools, in concert with real-time consulting tools, according to the Redmond, Wash.-based company.
