AMICAS signed 18 new contracts in Q4 2006 with continued market penetration into hospitals and ambulatory imaging businesses with its Vision Series suite of products. The 18 contracts include a mix of eight new hospitals or hospital groups and ten ambulatory customers that include imaging centers, teleradiology businesses, and radiology groups. The new hospital contracts include three new hospitals with a MEDITECH hospital information system. Several of the new ambulatory contracts include multiple AMICAS product lines and there were a number of additional products ordered by existing customers.
Dynamic Imaging signed a three-year PACS contract with Novation, the health care contracting services company of VHA Inc. and the University HealthSystem Consortium (UHC), two national health care alliances. Dynamic Imaging's Web-based IntegradWeb PACS was awarded an agreement through Novation's competitive bid process.
IntegradWeb PACS is an advanced, Web-based technology that offers standards-based focus and flexibility to serve the clinical and business needs of all acute care and ambulatory facilities. Novation's nearly 2,500 alliance member facilities will be able to access the IntegradWeb product family which includes IntegradWeb PACS for all environments, IntegradWeb ORTHO for orthopedics, IntegradWeb MAMMO for digital mammography, and IntegradWeb OUTREACH for enterprise distribution.
More than 300 subscribers have contracted to use McKesson's OR Benchmarks Collaborative (ORBC), an automated national benchmarking service used to measure and report on a hospital's OR performance and compare it to other facilities nationwide. The ORBC service provides a dashboard of monthly trended data on five key performance indicators (KPIs), including start-time accuracy for first case of the day and subsequent cases, estimated case-duration accuracy, prime-time utilization, and day of surgery add-on cases. McKesson offers the service through a partnership with OR Manager, Inc., the recognized leader of perioperative management information in North America.
TeraMedica and Marshfield Clinical today announced an agreement to install Evercore - Clinical Information Manager. TeraMedica’s Evercore - Clinical Information Manager is intended to integrate all of Marshfield’s clinical objects, including medical and non-medical images, then distribute them in a lightweight format within the Marshfield Electronic Medical Record, making them available to attending health care professionals via web accessible devices.
