Neurostar teams with M*Modal

Neurostar Solutions, a provider of outsourced clinical image management solutions for radiology groups, has incorporated M*Modal’s Speech Understanding technology into its existing virtual radiology network (VRN).

Neurostar’s VRN is designed to power the platform for outsourced clinical image management and workflow solutions, allowing imaging centers, hospitals and physicians’ offices to share image data with a virtual community of radiologists and referring physicians, according to the Atlanta-based Neurostar.

The Pittsburgh-based M*Modal and Neurostar said that the VRN allows radiologists to communicate and handle workflow from anywhere at anytime. The Neurostar VRN is a software-as-a-service, web-based offering. Documents are generated in a semantically interoperable HL7 CDA format to allow for streamlined report sharing between practitioners and facilities.
