ev3 awarded Novation contracts

Interventional device developer ev3 of Plymouth, Mass., reported that it has been awarded three 3-year contracts by group purchasing organization Novation. The Irving, Texas-based Novation is the healthcare contracting and services company of VHA and the University HealthSystem Consortium.

The contracts, which begin on October 1 this year, will enable the nearly 2,500 Novation members and affiliates access to ev3’s portfolio of peripheral vascular and neurovascular products through Novation’s peripheral interventional, thrombus management and neuro interventional contracts.

These contract awards follow Novation’s signing of a single-source, new technology agreement for ev3’s Onyx liquid embolic system in March this year.
