EBM ready for PACS data center in China

Provider of medical imaging and healthcare IT services EBM Technologies has completed the software design of its EBM PACS Data Center in Shanghai, China, which will connect 23 hospitals.

EBM Technologies of Honolulu, Hawaii, said it is poised to begin installation of the new software design, which will need to harness information for approximately 19,000 inpatients, 670,000 discharges and 18 million outpatient visits annually. The company predicts more than eight million people in Shanghai with health insurance will employ the services of its EBM Data Center.

EBM has also reported that it is playing the role of the application service provider for the transition.
