Sterotaxis Niobe system performs 10,000th procedure
Stereotaxis reported that its Niobe system has performed more than 10,000 procedures. The system employs magnet-guided navigational technology intended to help electrophysiologists and cardiologists treat complex arrhythmias and perform other interventional procedures, according to the St. Louis-based firm.
Based on Stereotaxis’ account, clinicians at more than 60 hospitals worldwide have used its system to perform over 2,000 percutaneous coronary interventions and other guidewire-based vascular procedures; approximately 6,000 right-sided electrophysiology mapping and ablation procedures; and nearly 2,000 atrial fibrillation and other complex left-sided procedures.
