Two hospitals to join Indiana Health Information Exchange

Howard Regional Health System and St. Joseph Hospital, both located in Kokomo, Ind., are positioned to become part of the Indiana Health Information Exchange’s (IHIE) clinical messaging service network, called the DOCS4DOCS service.

Howard Regional Health System is a two-hospital regional healthcare system with five outpatient locations. St. Joseph Hospital is part of the St. Vincent Health system, which is an 18-ministry system throughout Indiana.

DOCS4DOCS is a web-based service that delivers clinical information such as transcription, radiology and laboratory reports to physician offices, according to the Indianapolis-based IHIE.
