Agfa completes Salzburg health system deployment

Agfa HealthCare has completed the installation of its Orbis hospital information system along with its Impax PACS product throughout the Salzburger Landeskliniken (SALK) healthcare system in Austria.

SALK consists of four hospitals, which serve the greater Salzburg region, count more than 500,000 ambulatory visits yearly, and employs approximately 4,900 staff members.

Orbis is currently operational after 18 months of preparation and serves 350 organizational units within the facility. According to Agfa, about 600,000 patient records and findings have been migrated to the new system.
