Neurognostics fMRI to be used in Huntingtons disease study

Neurognostics, a Milwaukee-based provider of integrated functional MR imaging (fMRI) services, has signed an agreement to install its fMRI system at The Cleveland Clinic and The University of Iowa for a multi-center Huntington's disease study.

Huntington's disease is an inherited central nervous system disorder that results in abnormal body movements and a lack of coordination, and can progressively affect mood, memory, and concentration.

In addition to using its Functional Acquisition Device for the researchers to acquire subject data, Neurognostics has implemented three specific stimulation paradigms, according to the company.
