Elekta furnishes new Austrian radiation oncology department
Vocklabruck Hospital in the region of Upper Austria has placed an order with Elekta of Stockholm, Sweden for its new radiation oncology department.
The 10-year agreement, valued at approximately €5 million ($7.1 million, U.S.), includes supplying digital intensity modulated radiation therapy and image-guided radiation therapy treatment systems, as well as software for networking, information management and treatment planning.
The Elekta systems will be installed in the spring of 2008, the company said.
