Systema signs hospital IT deal in Upper Austria
Austrian healthcare software provider Systema Human Information Systems has signed a deal for €7 million ($9.89 million U.S.) to install information systems at 11 hospitals in Upper Austria.
The main partner in the agreement is German IT company, SAP. The contract includes the implementation of a new hospital information system, SAP IS-H med, in the Gespag-hospitals.
As a result of the deal, networking in Austrian hospitals will be covered by small number of companies, according to Alexander Schanner, head of the Austrian national health IT organization.
