Whittington pilots McKesson clinician portal

The Whittington Hospital NHS Trust of London will pilot a new, single sign-on gateway portal—the Horizon Physician Portal from McKesson.

Originally developed for the U.S. market, the new portal provides a single view of data from disparate source systems to access multiple standalone systems in use across the trust, according to the San Francisco-based McKesson.

The Whittington installation will happen in two phases. In phase one, four systems have been connected, including laboratory systems, with more to come in phase two, according to Whittington Hospital.
