Brooklyn Hospital chooses Eclipsys

Dec. 7 – The Brooklyn Hospital Center (TBHC) in New York City will implement Eclipsys' Sunrise Clinical Manager, including the modules Sunrise Acute Care, Sunrise Ambulatory Care, Sunrise Critical Care, Sunrise Emergency Care, Sunrise Pharmacy and Sunrise Knowledge-Based Medication Administration.

TBHC, a 463-bed academic community hospital, serves 20,000 inpatients a year and has 65,000 emergency department visits, 200,000 ambulatory care visits and 250,000 home-care visits annually.

The Atlanta-based Eclipsys said with its services, TBHC will have access to a patient's up-to-date health record across departments and facilities, and be able to participate in regional health information organization initiatives.
