Idaho Medicaid grants Unisys $168M contract
The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare (IDHW) has awarded Unisys two seven-year, fixed-price contracts to provide systems and operational services as fiscal agent for the state’s Medicaid program.
The Blue Bell, Pa.-based Unisys said the contracts consist of a two-year system design, development and implementation phase, followed by five years of operations totaling $116.5 million, with an additional three-year option worth $51 million. If the option is exercised the total contract value is $167.5 million.
Unisys said it won two of four Medicaid contracts recently procured by IDHW, the Medicaid management information system (Health PAS) and the electronic document management system.
