South Texas hospital chooses McKesson

Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco, Texas, will implement McKesson Healthcare Solutions’ technology to automate its medical records and business systems.

Knapp’s officials have tapped Dallas-based PHNS to help with the rollout of McKesson Paragon, Horizon patient folder and Horizon business folder systems.

PHNS services will include health information management transformation, patient registration and business office workflow, interfaces, assessment and care plans, order management and operating room management, laboratory and microbiology, staff training and business process re-engineering services to promote EHR best practices.

Knapp, a 233-bed nonprofit hospital, is an acute care hospital in south Texas.
