Community Health Systems selects McKesson

McKesson has signed an agreement with Community Health Systems (CHS), a national operator of general acute care hospitals, for health IT services.

CHS will deploy McKesson’s physician portal, EMRs and performance analytics tools across most facilities, McKesson said. CHS has selected McKesson to deploy its clinical information systems in more than 40 of its hospitals. Most CHS facilities should receive the Horizon Physician Portal, according to McKesson.

CHS and its affiliates own or operate more than 125 hospitals in 28 states with a total of nearly 18,800 licensed beds.
