Lantheus to supply Premier with cardiac ultrasound contrast media

Lantheus Medical Imaging has been awarded a three-year, sole-source supplier contract by Premier Purchasing Partners, the group purchasing unit of Premier, a U.S. healthcare group purchasing organization.

Under the new agreement, effective Dec. 1, Lantheus will provide Definity (perflutren lipid microsphere) vial for injectable suspension to more than 1,600 of Premier’s U.S. hospitals and additional healthcare sites.

This is the second consecutive sole-source agreement that Lantheus has been awarded by Premier to supply Definity, reported the North Billerica, Mass.-based company.
