N.Y. healthcare system chooses Cerner for healthcare IT

Health Quest, a healthcare system in New York’s Hudson Valley, has selected Cerner as its clinical information systems solution provider and will implement a suite of Cerner Millennium clinical solutions throughout its system of three hospitals, Northern Dutchess Hospital, Putnam Hospital Center and the Vassar Brothers Medical Center.

Health Quest will implement a suite of solutions including PathNet laboratory system, PharmNet pharmacy system, PowerChart EMR and MillenniumPOC medication administration solution, to replace the health system’s existing healthcare IT products, according to the Kansas City, Mo.-based Cerner.

The implementation team will also use the Cerner Bedrock system to help guide them through the process of designing, building and maintaining the Cerner Millennium platform, said Health Quest.
