AMICAS inks PACS contracts with three U.S. facilities

AMICAS, a medical image and information management developer, has secured Vision Series PACS contracts with three facilities in Arizona, Illinois and New York.

The facilities include Radiology Ltd., in Tucson, Ariz.; MQ Associates in New York City; and Holy Cross Hospital, in Chicago.

The Boston-based company said Radiology Ltd. will add Vision Reach, a management and billing software system, to their existing PACS installation and replacing their legacy RIS and billing platforms with the Vision Series RIS and Vision Series Financials platforms, respectively.

The contracts are among more than 60 new partnerships established with a variety of radiology groups, imaging centers, teleradiology businesses, multi-specialty groups, and hospitals in 2007, according to AMICAS.
