Amber Diagnostics becomes GE reseller in several African countries

Amber Diagnostics, a distributor and refurbisher of medical imaging equipment, has been become a GE Healthcare dealer at its affiliate location, Amber Diagnostics Africa in Douala, Cameroon.
 
Upon receipt of the GE’s distributorship, Amber Diagnostics Africa secured the $16 million contract to provide new GE diagnostic equipment to several provincial hospitals in Cameroon, according to Orlando, Fla.-based Amber.

Amber said it opened its Cameroon office in 2004 and now employs 26 people at the 10,000-square-foot facility. With smaller sales offices in Niger, Mali and Senegal, Amber Diagnostics Africa provides equipment, as well as the ability to provide service, parts and support throughout Africa, according to the company.
