Compressus
Compressus (Booth 4073) is spotlighting its MEDxConnect version 2.5 release with enhancements to its interoperability solutions package.
The new release features a full integration with GE Healthcare’s Centricity PACS, provides seamless connectivity across disparate HIS, RIS, PACS and related information systems, and provides automated interoperability, enabling organizations with disparate multi-vendor systems to function as one virtual enterprise. MEDxConnect indexes, integrates and routes all relevant patient medical information in real time, increasing patient safety, improving physician productivity and supporting practice expansion.
MEDxConnect version 2.5 also includes full integration with PowerScribe speech recognition software and the firm also completed integrations with Philips Healthcare’s iSite and Merge Healthcare’s eFilm PACS products. Version 2.5 also expanded the ability for groups to customize routing and worklist rules through general, modality and subspecialty worklists.
Other new features include the Order Management Module (OM2) module, which automatically creates an electronic order in cases where there is no RIS. Needed for other systems in the enterprise, such as voice recognition, to acknowledge and process the exam packet, the OM2 now creates the order in HL7. A Study Forward feature enables users to pass studies to specialists or colleagues for consultations.
An Addendum Enhancement feature builds on MEDxConnect’s single global Virtual Worklist solution that enables users to automatically pre-fetch all types of patient information, including historical and demographic data, prior reports and images, and physicians’ notes from disparate information and imaging systems and distribute it to the appropriate physicians in real-time. In addition, version 2.5 also provides a list of other data that are available should the physician want to make an interpretation. Users now have the option to permanently attach this new data to the original study packet, ensuring that it is available for referring physicians or future reads.
