Premier signs MRI deal with Toshiba

Premier Purchasing Partners has signed an agreement with Toshiba America Medical Systems for its MRI products and point-of-sale service agreements.

The MRI contract with Toshiba is available to the acute and long-term care facilities of the Premier healthcare alliance, according to the Charlotte, N.C.-based company.

The new agreement is part of a portfolio of diagnostic imaging contracts with Toshiba, Philips Healthcare, GE Healthcare and related radiography suppliers FujiFilm Medical Systems, Swissray and Quantum Medical Systems, Premier said.

Premier operates a healthcare purchasing network serving 1,700 hospitals and more than 49,000 other healthcare sites.
