Siemens Healthcare (Booth 922) is highlighting its Somatom Definition CT at this year’s RSNA. The Somatom Definition Dual Source CT technology promotes new clinical opportunities, designed for bigger hospitals and research facilities. For cardiac imaging, the Definition allows for imaging of all heart rates without beta blockers; the scanning of arrhythmic patients; reliable and reproducible plaque discrimination; and high accuracy of in-stent imaging, the company says. Across the spectrum, the patient preparation, examination and diagnosis is under 10 minutes. Also, it is accessible for all patients up to 220 kg (485 lbs). The Definition also has a high spatial resolution of 0.33 mm.
