Aloka to introduce compact 4D ultrasound system

Aloka America will unveil the U.S. product release of the ProSound 3500SX, a compact 4D diagnostic ultrasound system, at the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecology (ACOG) annual meeting in New Orleans May 3-7.

The Wallingford, Conn.-based company said its enhancements to the ProSound 3500SX system, including: flat panel display and improved ergonomics; enhanced 3D/4D imaging: save entire datasets to review later; free 3D/4D viewing software for post processing on independent workstations; USB port for media storage (optional DVD/CD writer also available); and extended field of view to view the entire uterus for multiple gestation and placenta position.

The ProSound 3500SX ultrasound system is designed for obstetrics and gynecology, as well as a variety of other clinical applications including breast and urology, Aloka said.
