Visage Imaging demonstrates Thin Client enhancements
Visage Imaging, a wholly owned subsidiary of Mercury Computer Systems, showcased its Visage Thin Client product family at the 2008 annual meeting of the Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) in Seattle.
Visage Imaging's Thin Client suite streamlines clinical workflow throughout the enterprise through a set of visualization tools available on any standard PC throughout the network via LAN, WAN or internet, the company said. The Visage Thin Client solution can be used as a plug-in to an existing PACS, or as a standalone solution for enterprise visualization. It integrates primary interpretation and advanced post processing for all 2D, 3D and 4D image data in a single platform, according to the company.
At the 2008 SIIM meeting, Visage Imaging demonstrated the latest features of the upcoming release of its Visage CS Thin Client/Server, covering applications for radiology, cardiology, oncology, neurology and surgery.
New or improved features included image subtraction and multi-phase uptake analysis; calcium scoring; improved left ventricle analysis and improved editing of vessels and heart; automatic bone and chest wall removal; standardized uptake value (SUV) calculation for PET/CT; perfusion analysis for CT and MR; lesion analysis for follow-up exams; enhanced tools for CT and MR angiography; and improvements designed to help streamline workflow for image interpretation, post processing, and distribution.
