N.C. healthcare system deploys HealthPort revenue cycle management solution
HealthPort will supply three N.C. hospitals within the Appalachian Regional Healthcare System of Boone, N.C., with its HealthPort revenue cycle management (RCM) solution.
HealthPort will first deploy its RCM system at Watauga Medical Center, also located in Boone, the largest of Appalachian Regional’s three facilities, and then deploy the system at its other two locations—Cannon Memorial Hospital in Linville, N.C., and Blowing Rock Hospital in Blowing Rock, N.C. Once started, the entire process will take less than 90 days to implement, HealthPort said.
Once in place, Appalachian Regional will have an enterprise-wide RCM system for all three of their facilities, according to the Columbia, S.C.-based HealthPort.
Watauga, a 117-bed primary and secondary care facility, employs more than 950 people.
