IMIX adds 17-inch detector to DR product line

IMIX Americas, a provider of DR systems, has expanded its product line with the addition of a 17x17-inch field of view detector that is now available.

The detector accommodates most patient sizes and is ideal for imaging applications requiring full anatomical coverage with the same image quality as the IMIX 16-inch model, the Tampere, Finland-based company said.

Sigrid Smitt-Jeppesen, president and CEO of IMIX Americas, said the introduction of the new detector reflects its commitment to continually improving its products.

“The new detector provides a larger field of view, which reduces cut-off of images. Furthermore, because the new IMIX detector provides 17x17-inch coverage as opposed to the film or CR standard of 17x14-inch, the technologist does not have to rotate cassettes or panels to achieve the full 17-inch coverage,” Smitt-Jeppesen said.
