McKesson acquires EN-Chart to enhance emergency care segment

McKesson has acquired EN-Chart Scanning Program, a provider of computer-assisted facility coding and compliance solutions for emergency departments (EDs).

Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Based in Dandridge, Tenn., EN-Chart provides coding and charge capture capabilities for ED information systems to optimize revenue, McKesson said. EN-Chart solutions can be used standalone or integrated with existing hospital EDIS, including McKesson’s Horizon emergency care ED solution.

McKesson said the acquisition of EN-Chart is the culmination of a two-year business partnership, in which McKesson has offered EN-Chart as Horizon Emergency Care Facility Coding.
