Vydareny chosen as executive director for ABR

The American Board of Radiology (ABR) has chosen Kay H. Vydareny, MD, as the new associate executive director for diagnostic radiology and subspecialties.

Vydareny is former president of the ACR, former speaker of the ACR council, former chair of the ACR commission on human resources, ACR governance committee and the ACR committee on fellowship credentials, according to the ABR. 

As the associate executive director for diagnostic radiology and subspecialties, the ABR said that Vydareny will participate in agenda setting for board of trustees meetings, represent the ABR to various societies and organizations, review candidate and diplomate requests, coordinate considerations related to subspecialty certification and plan for exams of the future in both the initial certification and maintenance of certification programs.
