Georgia hospital deploys HP archive solution
Gwinnett Medical Center has installed HP’s Medical Archive Solution (MAS) to help manage its growth of digitized medical information.
The HP MAS, a content archiving appliance, provides Gwinnett with long-term archival storage for its more than 450,000 imaging studies generated per year. By using HP solution, Gwinnett has eliminated service calls from physicians reporting slow access to images, according to the Palo Alto, Calif.-based company.
In addition to HP MAS, the company said that Gwinnett is using HP StorageWorks Enterprise Virtual Arrays, HP EVA Dynamic Capacity Management software, HP StorageWorks Modular Smart Arrays, HP ProLiant servers and HP BladeSystem c-Class server blades.
Gwinnett of Lawrenceville, Ga., is a not-for-profit hospital with four acute-care facilities, with more than 4,100 employees and more than 700 affiliated physicians.
