The Santa Clara, Calif.-based company said Renz will oversee the company's commercialization effort, to include business development, client services, software development and quality assurance. In addition, he will play a role in developing strategic partnerships and alliances.

Renz will report directly to Branislav Vajdic, PhD, who will remain as NewCardio’s CEO.

He joins NewCardio from ClinPhone, a clinical technology organization recently acquired by PAREXEL International, a biopharmaceutical services organization, the company said. At ClinPhone, Renz served as chief operating officer. Previously, he worked for eResearch Technology as the executive vice president and chief technology officer.
