CodeRyte secures $13 million equity financing

CodeRyte, a computer-assisted coding and Natural Language Processing company, has obtained $13 million of expansion capital from a new investor, Versant Ventures.

The Menlo Park, Calif.-based Versant is a healthcare-focused venture capital firm specializing in early stage investments in medical devices, biotechnology and pharmaceuticals, healthcare services and healthcare IT.

“Versant Ventures brings a deep understanding of healthcare and will help CodeRyte continue to build on its value propositions,” said Andy Kapit, CEO of the Bethesda, Md.-based CodeRyte.
