IECO to supply Paramed for Open MRI system

Paramed Medical Systems and International Electric Co. (IECO) in Helsinki, Finland, have signed a purchase agreement where IECO supplies Paramed with its gradient power amplifiers and related equipment for Paramed’s new MROpen system.

The Genoa, Italy-based Paramed said it selected IECO to fulfill evolving requirements of new projects and the performances of its products.

Paramed said its MROpen system employs a cryogen-free 0.5-Tesla superconducting magnet in a U-shaped configuration, designed to reduce claustrophobia by creating open space above the patient's head and body. IECO supplies Paramed with gradient electronics, including gradient power amplifiers, magnet power supplies, temperature control units and through-feed filters.
