Hitachi upgrades high field 1.5T Echelon platform for RF system

Hitachi Medical Systems America is offering a choice with its high field 1.5T Echelon with 8-channel and 16-channel packages—Echelon XLS, which delivers high field clinical utility and advanced capabilities with an 8-channel RF system that can be upgraded to 16 channels.

The Echelon XLS includes a 16-channel RF system and 16-channel anatomically specific coils that deliver dynamic and conventional imaging results, according to the Twinsburg, Ohio-based Hitachi.

The company said its Echelon includes a 33/150 gradient system, uniform RF fat saturation in large FOV, motion compensation for free-breathing abdominal studies and dynamic imaging. Another feature exclusive to the Echelon 1.5T is feet first positioning for all scans.
