According to the terms of the agreement, the Tampa, Fla.-based Pegasus said it will take hold of AccuSoft’s line of ImageGear imaging software development kits (SDK) and NetVue document management software.
Pegasus executives said that the acquisition will improve its market position as a provider of digital imaging software development.
AccuSoft imaging SDKs feature photo processing, medical imaging, DICOM and document imaging technologies. They also provide thin-client browser image viewing on platforms including Silverlight, as well as managed-code .NET, ActiveX, Windows Mobile, 32-bit and 64-bit Windows, Linux, Unix (Sun Solaris, IBM AIX, HP-UX) and Mac OSX toolkits.
During the next 90 days, Pegasus said that the transition activities will focus primarily on supporting Northborough, Mass.-based AccuSoft customers. As part of the acquisition, AccuSoft’s employees have been rolled into Pegasus, and Pegasus now controls AccuSoft’s website.
