iSoft rolls out healthcare IT suite for German health system

IBA Health Group Limited reported that German hospital group, Krankenhaus in Buchholz and Winsen, Germany, has become an iSoft customer for Lorenzo, its service-oriented architecture platform for healthcare information management.

The Sydney, Australia-based IBA Health said that the project’s two phases will culminate in the roll-out of Lorenzo Clinicals at two hospitals at Buchholz and Winsen, which together provide 633 beds

Krankenhaus Buchholz and Winsen currently uses iSoft management and clinical applications, including ClinicCentre, LabCentre and BusinessCentre. iSoft said it will also install its iSoft Collaboration Suite (iCS) portal, eFA services and electronic patient record.

With iCS, Krankenhaus Buchholz and Winsen provides physicians access to hospital patient records using a standard web-browser, IBA said. The applications are based on Lorenzo technologies and provide a Microsoft .Net technology layer to underpin further developments in SOA, according to the Oxfordshire, England-based iSoft.
