Lumedx targets interventional radiology with new software

Lumedx has introduced a new software module designed to collect interventional radiology (IR) procedural information at the point of care.

The IR module documents Joint Commission and patient safety performance measures. It also enables tracking and monitoring of case details, volumes, inventory and billing code capture and inventory management, according to the Oakland, Calif.-based company.

"Interventional Radiology continues to be underserved by the IT marketplace, with no integrated systems to track business and patient management. As hospital budgets tighten, efficient management of the IR suite is imperative to accurately schedule procedures, track inventory, bill for procedures and professional services, review images, report on patient care and evaluate performance metrics," said Lumedx lead clinical product manager Quana Bert, RN.
