Cardinal extends radiopharma deal with MedAxiom

Cardinal Health has signed a three-year agreement to offer its medical-surgical, pharmaceutical and laboratory supplies to MedAxiom members.

The agreement, which was effective Feb. 1, extends the companies' existing relationship, which began in 2004 when Cardinal became the provider for MedAxiom's group purchasing organization for radiopharmaceutical imaging agents that aid in the early diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease.

By providing them access to medical-surgical, pharmaceutical and laboratory products, the Dublin, Ohio-based Cardinal said it can provide more than 5,400 MedAxiom cardiologists with a solution for supply needs.

With the new agreement, the Neptune Beach, Fla.-based MedAxiom members have access to Cardinal's medical-surgical, pharmaceutical and laboratory products. Cardinal will also contribute to MedAxiom's MedXpert Knowledgebase, an on-demand warehouse of educational materials, informational articles, pro-forma analyses, policies and procedures.
